On the 20th June 2016, 200 RSA Student Design Awards finalists, judges, industry partners and friends filled the RSA House in London to celebrate the 92nd Royal Society of Arts Student Awards and the power of design as a force for good in the world.
Huda Khoja, a student on the BA(Hons) Graphic Arts programme was selected as a winner for the ‘One Man’s Waste’ brief which challenged students to propose sustainable design solutions to everyday problems. However, after one trip up to the stage, Huda was stunned to be asked to come up again to receive a special award – The Bill Moggridge Award, supported by TechmerPM. This award is given to ‘the person and project that best demonstrates vision, beauty, sustainability, and development potential.’ Bill Moggridge won an RSA Award when he was a student and went onto have a legendary career in design, including co-founding IDEO, and sadly passed away in 2012.
Huda is the first winner of this award. We are very proud of her!
