WSA BA:
A couple of weeks ago all four courses; Graphic Arts, Fine Art, Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design and Textiles, came together for this year’s degree show at the Oxo Tower Barge House. A team of students, technicians and lectures all helped to set up and curate the show.
The opening night on the Thursday was a huge success! London agency Bear started the night off with a talk about their live brief with Winchester School of Art and gave prizes of work placements to the winning Graphic Arts students.

WSA Substance:
The Graphics Arts students developed their own identity which included both digital and printed marketing materials. Titled ‘Substance’ the year 03’s wanted to highlight how they are more than just work or a specific style, they each have distinctive personalities which have developed during their time at University. “Our 2015 graduation group have ‘substance’ – something beyond a surface impression, something that gives their work depth” – Programme leader Derek Yates.
The degree show catalogue was collated, designed and produced by students Victoria Cedona, Yolanda Perez, Christiana Heckl and Jessica Allen. They visited Pureprint in Uckfield to see the production process and were able to sign off the final spreads. Thank you to John at Pureprint for showing us round and explaining all the printing and binding processes!
Students Grant Norris, Kit Debuse, Callum Goodger, Joel Maynard, Oliver Surey and the social media team created a strong online presence to advertise the show. The Instagram, Twitter and website all feel dynamic, original and just right for 2015!
