Year 1 Graphic Arts students visited Berlin last week to coincide with Transmediale media festival. The festival draws out new connections between art, culture and technology. Students attended the opening ceremony and one full day of talks and exhibits by international artist and designers.
Several exciting creative studio visits were also part of the weeks activities included HORT & RE-Surgo. HORT coordinator Lizzy Legate spoke about living and working in Berlin and discussed recent publishing projects. We also visited several contemporary galleries including the Hamburger Bahnhof held inside an old railway station. Another successful and inspiring first year study trip!
