Over 1500 images were on display at the Winchester School of Art. It was the first exhibition of our Year 1 students in Graphic Arts who have been working for the past few weeks on making images responding to the following given Titles:
1. Terrain 2. The Couple 3. W 4. Reconstruction 5. Superstition 6. Sleepers 7. The Secret 8. Tracking 9. Imperial 10. Composition with Yellow Vertical 11. Balancing Act 12. Moire 13. Tunnel Vision 14. Trust 15. Untitled
This project brief was set to help students examine photographic style and approaches, and was not just a simple exercise in recording a series of objects, places or scenarios. Students were required to respond photographically to 15 separate titles. Each title has been devised to pose a number of questions regarding interpretation. The task was to illustrate these titles with photographs.
