With Year 2 workshop week starting yesterday across all pathways, the illustration students had their first Text as Image workshops with Beth Salter. The first half of the day involved working with victorian illustrations and considered how they could be transformed to evoke different feelings, using text and quotes to within the work.
In the afternoon found imagery was used to create work using text as the main focus, scaling up the text, looking as ways of adapting the found text and sometimes creating or depicting stories or quotes.
