Year 2 students presented their exploration of narrative illustration at the interim crit. The diverse and exciting responses to texts by Oscar Wilde, Angela Carter and Edgar Allan Poe showed consideration of characters, sequence, colour and audience viewpoints. Visual approaches ranged from photography of constructed sets, collage and painting to detailed pencil and charcoal drawing. The next stage of the project considers developing these images digitally and animating elements to further explore mood, pacing and sequence.
