Y1 students of Graphic Arts are writing Chinese calligraphy as part of the research brief.
Mr Min He, an academic visitor from China, is introducing the traditional Chinese culture for 12 students at 1 PM on Tuesday. The key of learning Chinese calligraphy is not to recognize the Chinese word, but to understand the oriental style of drawing and how to use the different materials, thus inspiring the students to start thinking and responding to different styles of drawing.
These students are fond of it and the course will be presented again at the same time next week.
