Eleanor Crow came in today to launch the publishing live project brief. With a background in illustration Eleanor has worked as an art director and designer for Random House and The Folio Society and is currently senior designer at Faber & Faber.
The brief Eleanor set was to design a cover for the Paul Auster book The New York Trilogy. After her talk on the issues involved in commissioning illustration in publishing everyone present got to look at print samples of covers from Random House and Faber & Faber. Now really looking forward to seeing how people respond to the brief.
