Greetings to our new 1st year GA students…So you can see what you are up against 😉 Here’s some projects from last year’s 1st year.
In order of appearance:
Tasked with producing a book about the internet, Jenni O’Toole of course produced this beautifully horrible DIY guide to the art of taxidermy.
Naomi Beckett’s 3-D type project used an office car park to deliver a timely message to the unsuspecting workers.
Francesca Rosier’s hand made book jacket for a book about uniforms.
Son Emirali (Plog mag founder) made an atlas of the internet for the book project.
Aniket Ghorpade’s paper cut outs of a flying machine formed the basis of a stop motion animation.
Erin Keen’s illustrations a response to the poem Hero and Leander by Christopher Marlowe
Charlotte Collis produced some lovely collages to illustrate some astronomical astrological statistics.
Lewis Battie brought texts from Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh to life by carving them into this found chair.
Bronwin Rees highlighted online social behavior by performing some real life Following — all documented in this lovely handmade book…(she wasn’t arrested either).
Next up Joe Silvester’s brilliant photographic experiments with model planes compiled in his sketchbook.
Esther Dobson’s colourful hand made papers came about in response to another poem Tin by John Gleday
Finally, finding the essence was the brief for Rebecca Higgin’s precise pooch drawings — lovely!!
